ABOUT THE VILLAGER Having lived in Kingswinford all my life, I have strong affinity with the village and the surrounding local areas, I live in the heart of Kingswinford village with my partner Mark and my two daughters, Faye and Laura.
I have gained over 20 years valuable Sales and Marketing experience, previously working for British Telecom, Express and Star, Black Country Bugle and Prudential insurance. Believing I could offer a superiorservice for local businesses, I took the plunge and launched The Villager Magazine for Kingswinford in September 2006, I am pleased to say the Kingswinford Edition has been a resounding success for my advertisers and has proved popular with the local community. On the back of this success, The Villager for Kinver, Stourton and Wollaston, soon followed in January 2007 and due to high demand from my advertisers to advertise in the surrounding villages, The Villager Magazine covering Enville, Bobbington, Swindon and Himley was born in October 2007. Being local is the key and offering discounts and special offers in the Villager, local businesses and residents have found my magazine very useful, increasing sales and awareness and giving residents a useful guide to their local businesses and services.
The majority of the businesses that are in my magazines are local – I try to target only businesses within or near to the areas where the magazines are delivered. If there is an unusual or specialist business I can not find in my own surrounding area then I try to locate the nearest one possible. The aim of the magazines is to help local businesses grow and make local people aware of what is on their doorstep.
